Ferrari Protects Its Trade Marks

Ferrari has again demonstrated the seriousness with which it intends to defend unauthorised use of its trade marks, logos and insignias.

The popular website "Ferrari F1 Fan Club" has been closed down following a writ and a claim for damages as well as legal costs from lawyers acting on behalf of Ferrari.

The website often used, without authorisation, copyright insignias and published articles about Ferrari and apparent interviews with Ferrari personnel which were thought by some to be verging on the fanciful. This will be a further salutary warning to others who use Ferrari emblems without authorisation.
