Yesterday the German Commerzbank announced that it had acquired a 10% holding in Ferrari, which it bought from Italian investment bank Mediobanca.

In German banking circles the price mentioned is about €228m which is in line with the €775m which Mediobanca paid for its original 34% stake in the previous week.

The Fiat deal with Mediobanca included the provision that the entire package of 34% of Ferrari shares could be placed in the market within 12 to 24 months, but that 12.5% could be passed on to other finance houses in the meantime.
