Ferrari Announce 3Q Financial Results

As on previous occassions the financial results for the Ferrari- Maserati Group are not publicised on the Ferrari Media website but, instead, need to be searched for amongst the Fiat Group results. Perhaps the still lacklustre results might take the shine off the Ferrari star but, in any case, this is the statement that appeared as part of the Fiat results for the 3rd quarter 2004:

Ferrari-Maserati reported revenues of 322 million euros in the third quarter of 2004, up 8.4% from the same period last year. Higher sales of Maserati models, driven by the success of the Quattroporte, account for most of the improvement.

Reversing the performance of the previous quarter, the Sector [Ferrari-Maserati] earned operating income of 2 million euros. However, this figure is lower than the amount reported in the third quarter of 2003 due to the negative impact of currency translations and higher R&D. The high points of the quarter were the introduction of the F430 and the outstanding results of the F1 racing team (Sixth Constructors Championship and Fifth Drivers Championship in a row).
