At the so-called "Supercar Showdown" at Silverstone over the weekend of 5/6/7 May, two classes were dominated by Ferraris and one by a neo-Ferrari. In GT3 Hector Lester/ Alan Simonsen (430/Ch) won the first race and came second in the next, in GT2 the Michelotto 430GT of Matteo Bobbi/Jaime Melo won the GT2 class and AF Corse team mates, ex-Scuderia Ferrari F1 pilota Mika Salo and Rui Aguas were third. The GT2 Scuderia Ecosse 430GTs had less happy FIA GT debuts with both retiring.

As the GT1 winner was the Maserati MC12 of Michael Bartels /Andrea Bertolini, which is really a re-badged Enzo, you could safely say that Ferrari engineering dominated the weekend!
