GALLERIA: Ferraris at Villa D'Este Concours * 1.5.2008

Jack Croul of Newport Beach/CA won Best in Show (Trofeo BMW Group, Best in Show by the Jury) at the renowned Villa d'Este Concours d'Elégance with his magnificent Ferrari 166 MM Berlinetta Touring Le Mans s/n 0026 M, the 1950 Mille Miglia winner with Giannino Marzotto. This bluemetallic racing Ferrari has been painstakingly restored by Paul Russell and Company of Essex/MA, USA.

Peter S. Kalikow of New York/NY won his class with the Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Series One 1958, Chassis s/n 0813 GT, a fantastic beauty restored by David Carte of Edinburg, VA/USA. It is painted amaranto (deep red).

This year's Villa d'Este Concours also saw the following Ferraris in various classes

  • 500 TRC s/n 0696 MDTR of Gabriele Artom (Mention of Honor).
  • 410 Sport s/n 0596 CM of Brian Ross.
  • 206 S Dino Competizione Pininfarina s/n 10523 of James Glickenhaus (Mention of Honor).
  • 250 Europa Coupé Pinin Farina s/n 0349 EU of Johan Van Puyvelde.
  • 166 Inter Stabilimenti Farina s/n 037 S of Edgar Schermerhorn.

The special Carrozzeria Touring display included three Ferraris:

  • 340 America Barchetta s/n 0116 A of G.P. Finanziaria S.p.A.
  • 212 Export Berlinetta s/n 0112 E of Paolo Casella.
  • 212 Inter "Touring Barchetta replica" s/n 0183 EL of Daniel Schlatter.
