automotive world is generally in tatters at the moment, with both the mundane
and the exotic suffering from the economic downturn. Whilst the volume manufacturers
have announced layoffs, production shutdowns and dire financial results,
one hears that at the upper end numerous deposits are being forfeited as
purchasers chose not to complete the acquisition of their exotica in the
face of declining second-hand values.
It is therefore particularly pleasing to see that Ferrari have announced a sparkling and optimistic set of 2008 financial results - click here to read their press release.
With economic news getting worse by the day it is to be hoped that their current good form continues for them, and that the momentum is being maintained. It will be interesting to see the results at the end of the first quarter 2009.
