For the first time, the Ferrari Owners’ Club of Great Britain takes you deep into the tundra this winter (16-20 February 2026), for an exclusive ice driving excursion. Learn the skills and feel the thrill of driving on a vast frozen lake complex, whilst enjoying some great Swedish hospitality on this members-only, five-day trip. Featuring two days driving the Ice Drive Sweden fleet at Lake Södra Lötsjön, the final fleet is expected to include:

Our all-inclusive trip takes you to Salen, close to the Sweden-Norway border, to follow in the footsteps of great Scandinavian drivers such as Ari Vatanen, Juha Kankkunen and Marcus Gronholm.
In partnership with leading experience partner Ice Drive Sweden, across two days you’ll drive a variety of two- and all-wheel-drive machinery, on a course which changes not only year-by-year, but hour-by-hour. The Club has booked expert instructors to help you build skills and speed on studded tyres, but you’ll also be able to share the fun with your fellow members as they share the passenger or driver’s seat in many of the fleet.
DAY 1 – 16th February
We fly into Oslo Gardermoen airport from London Heathrow (other destinations possible with own-flight option) on an early afternoon flight. Waiting for you at Oslo is our private shuttle transfers, approximately 2hr30mins transfer to Salen in the Scandinavian Mountains ski resort area. Our base for your break is the Salens Högfjällshotell, a historic spa hotel with plenty of authentic ‘hygge’. Event registration and documentation takes here, ahead of the evening’s welcome dinner and briefing.
DAY 2 – 17th February
After breakfast, a short transfer takes us to the Lake Södra Lötsjön , and Ice Drive Sweden’s purpose-constructed course. A 2.7km main circuit sits alongside smaller handling circuits and drift pans; Ice Drive Sweden have been using this lake for 15 years and are one of the market leaders in providing Ice Driving Experiences.
Conor Flynn, Ice Drive Sweden’s MD and former British Rally Championship driver, leads a team of instructors with rally, touring car and GT experience, to help you take your first steps in ice driving, or to build on existing skills.
Even if you’ve been on an Ice Drive Sweden experience before, the course configuration changes every year, so first we’ll take to the ice for sighting laps with the instructors.
After this, the group splits into pairs; we have exclusive use of a fleet of cars, ranging from MX-5s and BMWs with limited slip differentials, through to mid-engined Caymans and 4wd Subaru Imprezas.
Don’t be fooled by the modest power output of some of these; even with studded tyres they’re a handful on the hard icy surface so drifts-a-plenty…
Whilst one member drives, the other can passenger, before swapping places and rotating through the fleet. You can also lean on our dedicated instructors to get tuition and pointers to improve your driving and pace.
Between driving sessions, retire to the lake’s chalet (in the summer months, isolated on an island in the middle of the lake!) for hot refreshment; it’s here where we’ll also take lunch. Being so close to the Arctic Circle, sunset occurs mid-afternoon with Day 1 driving completed around 16:00, before the return transfer to Salen for dinner and drinks. Salen is a vibrant ski resort so there’s plenty of apres-dinner activity to enjoy before retiring to bed.
DAY 3 – 18th February
We return to the lake for a second day of driving, but there’s a twist – the course directions have been reversed, so it’s a new challenge. Again, you can enjoy a variety of cars in the fleet – including new options such as the industry-acclaimed Toyota Yaris GR and Aston Martin Vantage, higher horsepower and on Lappi Race studded tyres, for even higher grip. Because of the greater performance, in these you’ll be paired with an instructor to get the best out of your experience.
Like Day 2, we have a full day of driving planned, before signing off late afternoon. In the evening we’ll take you to a local restaurant famed for its genuine Scandi cuisine and hospitality, maybe a late night in the land of the midnight sun.
DAY 4 – 19th February
After two days of non-stop driving action, day 4 features a change of pace, taking us deep into the pine forests characteristic of Northern Sweden. Our itinerary will include a snowmobile safari with a Nordic ‘fika’ stop. The afternoon’s free time includes options for skiing, all with great hospitality included. Our final night in Salen is a great opportunity to recall the previous three day’s activities with your new friends and fellow members.
DAY 5 – 20th February
Our private shuttle will transfer you back to Oslo Gardermoen airport for the return flight home.
