A postcard from Ireland: Driving on the Emerald Isle

Posted on September 16, 2025.

“Go n-éirí an bóthar leat”, or “May the road rise with you” is a phrase used to wish a friend well on their journey, apt as the road really did rise to meet us on the Pirelli Tour of the Republic of Ireland.

Summer may appear to be coming to an abrupt end and it may be tempting to lock away the Ferrari for the winter, but it takes more than the unpredictable weather to stop Club members having a good time.

40 Club members took part in the second Pirelli Tour of the year, heading to the Republic of Ireland. The “Emerald Isle” is said to have some of the best driving roads in Europe and after last week some would say that claim is well founded.

The 500+ mile route showcased some of Ireland’s very vest scenery mixed with dynamic roads, fabulous food and wonderful hotels, including sections of the Copper Coast, the Wild Atlantic Way, the infamous Ring of Kerry and the often-overlooked Blackwater Valley, before a high-speed jaunt across the countryside to Mondello Park, and a couple of added surprises along the way.

The full report along with words from the members who took part will feature in the December issue of the Club magazine, Ferrari. Photos from this fabulous week across the Irish Sea are now available on Flickr for you to enjoy.
