After an incredible 30 years of dedicated service, Derek Seymour is retiring from his role as leader of our Prancing Horse Register organisation. Derek has been the backbone of our operations, known to every Club member as the ever-present figure bustling through our major events, ensuring that every detail was in place and every procedure followed to the letter. His commitment to excellence and tireless work behind the scenes have been instrumental in shaping the PHR into the Events Team as it is known today.
Derek’s knowledge, dedication, and sense of order will be greatly missed, but we are deeply grateful for the legacy he leaves behind. Please join us in thanking Derek and his wife Lyn for his remarkable service and wishing them all the very best in the well-earned retirement. But he won’t be far away as he will continue to attend our events – but without the hard slog of keeping everyone in line! Derek and Lyn will be especially honoured at our AGM in June.
Mark Buckland will succeed Derek as head of the PHR/Events Team organisation, with administrative support from Chris Leach at Cavallino House. His previous duties as Area Group coordinator will be taken over by Club director Alistair Stevenson.
