The Club has held a Ferrari hillclimbing championship for 34 years and in order to widen its appeal to members an ‘Introduction Day’ was held at the Curborough sprint track near Lichfield on 7th October. Seventeen members entered, although two couldn’t make it due to the petrol situation, but the rest enjoyed a full day of tuition on how to enter the sport and were given plenty of track time under the guidance of qualified instructors. There was a wide range of Ferrari tipos present and a large crowd of existing hillclimbers attended to support the event and explain more about the pleasures of the sport and the venues which it visits. On our Flick page we have posted a selection of photos by Richard Dredge from whom copies can be obtained.
