Iconic Auctioneers Race Retro Sale now at Silverstone Circuit.
Iconic Auctioneers moved fast to seek a new venue for their Competition and Collectors’ Classic sale after the annual Race Retro Show at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, was cancelled due to extreme flooding on the site and more rain forecast for the weekend. The auction will now take place at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit.
Iconic Auctioneers Managing Director, Rob Hubbard and his team where able to secure a new venue within 24 hours and can confirm that the company’s two-day auction will now take place at The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN. The timings of the sales, running order and, of course, the Lots to be offered remain exactly the same.

News of the Race Retro event cancellation reached Iconic Auctioneers at 5pm on Monday 19th. The statement from Race Retro said: “It is with great sadness Clarion Events Ltd and Stoneleigh Park announces the cancellation of this year’s highly anticipated Race Retro event. Following extensive discussions and in consultation with the Warwickshire District Council Safety Advisory Group and Warwickshire Police, it has been determined that adverse weather conditions, particularly extensive flooding, rain forecast through to the weekend and road closures render it unsafe to proceed with the event as scheduled.”
AUCTION INFORMATION:
The new auction location is – Halls 1 & 2, The Wing at Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN.
Entrance is via the Silverstone Circuit South Gate, no ticket or passes are needed, just follow the signs to The Wing. Parking is free and entry to the saleroom is via catalogue £20 which admits two. The auction timings remain the same – see above.
