As summer comes to an abrupt end the Club took to Down Hall for the 2023 Summer Garden Party & Charles Stanley International Concours.
Friday saw half the Concours entrants arrive at Down Hall, an opportunity to begin the final preparations before a casual BBQ to kick off the weekend.
Saturday started with the mandatory Cavalcade d’Elegance, taking in a 12.5-mile route through the countryside, treating the residents of nearby market-town of Hatfield Heath to the sight and sounds of Ferrari’s old and new as they worked their way back on the circular route to Down Hall. After some final detailing it was time for judging to begin.
The Concours Awards Dinner took place with a Ferrari 296 GTB on display. As with 2022 the highlight awards – Best in Show, Ladies Cup and Member’s Cup – would remain secret to be revealed at the Summer Garden Party on the following day.
Sunday marked the beginning of the Summer Garden Party where members had the opportunity to relax, socialise with friends and explore the grounds. Concours cars were on showcased with trophies, certificates and rosettes on display alongside the cars. The major awards such as Best In Show were announced an hour earlier than planned due to the looming weather that afternoon.
